General Description (概要)

With real problems students learn how to use the information on the Internet practically. Starting with selection of a main research theme(problem), students propose hypotheses and examine them. Finally students write their report or make aural presentation utilizing multimedia tools. Includes exercises on operation of related computer software.
インターネットを利用した情報の活用のしかたを具体的な問題に即して学ぶ。テーマ（問題）の選択から始めて，仮説を立てインターネットを利用して検証する。最後に，マルチメディアを利用したプレゼンテーションあるいはレポート作成を行う。関連するコンピュータソフトウエアの操作実習を含む。
We discuss topics that are necessary for understanding and applying the structure and nature of information on the Internet. During class, we complete exercises about each topic.
インターネット上の情報の構造や性質を理解し、活用するために必要な項目について議論する。クラスでは、各回のトピックスについて、演習を行う。

Learning Goals(学習目標)
|
|
We come to understand the nature of digitized "information" by establishing themes, learning about the fundamentals of digital media and networks (the Internet), and examining them through exercises.
We also touch upon new topics and develop an understanding of the latest information-related basic terminology and services. Through exercises we also put related computer software into operation and study basic usage rules and presentation technology.
各回テーマを設けて、デジタルメディア及びネットワーク（インターネット）の基本について学び、演習を通じて考察することで、デジタル化された「情報」の本質を理解する。ホットなトピックスについても触れ、最新の情報に関する基本的な用語やサービスについても理解する。
演習を通じて、関連するコンピュータのソフトウェアの操作実践し、基本的な使用方法やプレゼンテーション技術についても学習する。
