General Description (概要)

Team-taught, interdisciplinary and deligned as an inquiry into gender studies, this course seeks to make students participants in considering the role of gender relations. In alternating years the focus will be changed.
社会的文化的に規定された性差（ジェンダー）の仕組みの働きにより「女性」と「男性」は異なる経験を生きてきた。ジェンダー関係が社会のどのような側面で，どのようなメカニズムによって働きどのような問題を提起しているのか，個々の学問領域をこえて学際的に検討し考察する。そのために毎年特定のテーマを決め，そのテーマに関連した領域で研究している教員が毎年チームを組んで共同講座という形式で担当する。
This course focuses on how gender is socially constructed and how it affects our daily lives meaningfully. It discusses such issues as gender roles, gender norms, gender inequality, and sexuality that may seem too natural and self-evident. This course will also aim to study gender issues from various academic perspectives.
このコースでは、ジェンダーがかかわる経験がいかにして社会的に構築されているかという点に焦点を当て、日常生活におけるジェンダーについて検討します。授業では日ごろ気になっているジェンダー役割、男らしら・女らしさの規範、特定のジェンダーゆえに直面する社会的不合理や不平等、セクシュアリティのあり方、などについて積極的にダイアローグにのせていくことを目指します。また、ある一定の見方からではなく、様々な角度からジェンダーがかかわる事柄についての思考を提供することも目標とします。

Students will
1) learn about how gender is socially constructed and experienced in our daily lives.
2) study how gender based benefits or gender inequality is socially reproduced.

Contents(内容)
|
|
In principle, Moriki will lecture once a week, while various teachers and researchers associated with gender and sexuality studies will come to give a lecture once a week. Moriki will be present all lectures.
基本的に週１回は担当教員の森木が講義を担当する。他の週１回はジェンダー＆セクシュアリティ研究メジャーにかかわる教員や研究者が持ち回りでゲストスピーカーとして専門領域の観点からジェンダーについて講義する。森木は毎回の授業に出席する予定である。
