Description(概要)
This course explores topics in metaphors and analyzes them by using the framework of Cognitive Semantics. Metaphorical expressions are found in daily conversations as well as literature, religion, art, and media. In the first half of each class, lectures will be given, and in the latter half, students will think of specific examples and discuss them in groups.
