Learning Goals(学習目標)
The main goal of this course is to introduce students to seeing the world through the lens of microeconomics. This includes:

- Learning the concepts of markets, demand, and supply, and how to apply them
- Understanding consumer behaviour (preferences, utility maximisation)
- Basics of producer choice (production functions, cost-minimisation)
- Perfectly competitive markets vs markets with market power (including monopoly)
- Taxes, subsidies, and deadweight losses from policy interventions
- Game theory basics

Understanding these concepts, their interactions, and applications to real world situations will form a foundation on which the students can build, in more advanced economics courses.
