General Description (概要)

Practice of anthropological theories and methods in communities of different cultures from ours. Students are to engage in an intensive live-in survey for a few weeks during summer vacation. Prerequisite: Field Training in Anthropology I. (Field work during summer vacation; official registration by the instructor.)
人類学的調査の理論と方法を異文化社会で実地に適用する。夏期休暇期間中に２，３週間程度の集中的調査を行う。人類学調査実習Iを既習のこと。（実施は夏期休暇中、科目登録は担当教員が行う）
This class offers students actual experience in conducting ethnographic fieldwork. This year, due to the impacts of Covid-19, students will collect data on-line. We will meet on campus for classes and advising (if students need to be on-line using zoom it will be accepted).
フィールドに出て人類学の現地調査を行う。今年度は鹿児島県の徳之島で実施する予定である。期間は8月2日（入島）から16日（出島）で計画している。学生は春学期「人類学調査実習I」(ANT311)の授業で文献調査を行った調査トピックを調整しつつデータを収集する。
＊2023年春学期開講の「人類学調査実習I」(ANT311)（2単位）を既習のこと
＊2023年秋学期開講の「人類学調査実習II」(ANT313)（2単位）を履修予定のこと
＊このコース自体は夏季休暇中に実施（3単位）だが単位の付与は秋学期に行われる

Learning Goals(学習目標)
|

1. To experience with ethnographic fieldwork.
2. To gain experience in understanding "others" as a researcher and respecting research ethics.
3. To safely complete the fieldwork while maintaining physical & mental health.
１. 人類学のフィールドワークを体得する。
２. 調査倫理を尊重しながら調査者として「他者」を理解する経験をする。
3. 心身ともに健康を維持しながら実習期間を無事に終える。

Contents(内容)
|

Students will collect first-hand ethnographic data using such methods as participant observation and interviews for a research topic of their choice.
各自の調査トピックにそって参与観察やインタビューを中心とした人類学的データ収集を行う。

このコース単独での履修は不可である。履修希望者は春学期開講のANT 311 人類学調査実習Ｉを既習のこと。またこのコースの参加は秋学期開講のANT 313 人類学調査実習IIの履修を前提としているので注意してほしい。
実習は心身ともに負荷がかかるため、心配がある場合は担当者を含め関係各所と必ず相談をして履修は慎重に検討すること。
