General Description (概要)
During the Spring term class meets once a week to prepare students for teaching practice in Australia. Topics include the educational system, curriculums, Japanese language syllabuses, teaching materials, teacher''s life in school, as well as cultural aspects of the country. The three-week teaching practicum at schools in the Melbourne area during summer vacation. Academic credit will be given to those who complete both the lecture part and the teaching practice part.

春学期に毎週1時限の授業において海外で行う教育実習の準備をする。内容は,当該地の人々,生活,文化など異文化的側面と,教育制度,カリキュラム,日本語シラバス,教材,学校における教員の生活など日本語教育の内容面を含む。つづいて,春学期後の夏休み中の3週間メルボルン市周辺の学校において教育実習を行う。講義と実習を完了した者に単位を与える。

春学期に毎週1時限の授業において海外で行う教育実習の準備をする。内容は,当該地の人々,生活,文化など異文化的側面と,教育制度,カリキュラム,日本語シラバス,教材,学校における教員の生活など日本語教育の内容面を含む。つづいて,春学期後の夏休み中の3週間メルボルン市周辺の学校において教育実習を行う。講義と実習を完了した者に単位を与える。

Learning Goals(学習目標)
The students will be able to identify the major issues on Teaching Japanese as a foreign language in Australia.
The students will be able to train his/her teaching skills in the classroom.

オーストラリアの日本語教育についての理解を深めることができる。
授業観察や教壇実習を通じて、日本語の教授技術を高めることができる。

Notes(注意事項)
The Teaching of Japanese as a Foreign Language I and II are prerequisite. The average of GPA is more than 2.5. The students need a permission for registration from the instructor in advance.
